PETALING JAYA: The elections are over and it’s time for political disputes to be put aside, PKR Youth leader Adam Adli said today after taking his oath of office as deputy minister for youth and sports.
Speaking to reporters after the ceremony at Istana Negara, he said: “It is time for those who are responsible to the people to focus on our work and put aside past political disputes.
“These political issues…the election is over. Let’s not drag out the political disputes for too long. That takes energy and time when we should be working now,” he said.
“We have already formed the government and everyone has to take responsibility,” he said, according to Utusan Malaysia.

“The challenge is to ensure that our agenda is implemented. There are many challenges ahead. The prime minister has called for a focus on the cost of living and on reforms,” he said.
Adam said he was ready to help his minister, Hannah Yeoh, to ensure that the ministry’s agenda is implemented.
He said, he will always discuss and help his Minister, Hannah Yeoh so that planning involving young people goes well.
“It’s already the Government body. Everyone has to take responsibility. We have already created (the body of) the Government.

“I don’t see a big (political) challenge. The challenge is to ensure that the finalized agenda is implemented. There are many challenges ahead. The Prime Minister also focuses on the cost of living and reforms need to be focused,” he told the media after being sworn in as Deputy Minister at the Istana Negara here on Saturday.
He stressed, now is the time for those who are responsible to the people to focus on work and put aside past political disputes.
“These political issues, the election is over. Let’s not drag out the political dispute for too long. That costs the energy and time of the people who should be working now,” he said.
Adam was among 27 deputy ministers who took their oaths of office at Istana Negara today.
At the general election last month, Adam was elected MP for Hang Tuah Jaya, defeating Ridhwan Ali of Barisan Nasional, Azrudin Idris (Perikatan Nasional) and Sheikh Ikhzan Sheikh Salleh (Pejuang).
