Two famous idols in the current K-pop scene – Minnie (민니) from the girl group (G)I-DLE and Sunmi (선미) – has drawn the internet’s attention following their most recent appearances.
Earlier on 31st December, (G)I-DLE held their first global VR live concert. However, Minnie was singled out for the unconventional outfit worn by her during one of their performances despite the band members wearing similar outfits.

During the performance of their song “My Bag”, Minnie, along with Yuqi and Soyeon, could be seen rocking the sexy low rise pants fashion trend, flaunting the upper part of their undergarments. In particular, the latter’s pants went down almost below the pubic bone, revealing a large portion of her ribbed thong. It didn’t take too long before several pics and videos taken from the concert began going viral online.

Minnie’s unique outfit has garnered mixed attention from netizens. While some criticised the “whale tail” look that she sported, others quickly came to the female idol’s defense. They pointed out that the outfit matched the girl group’s “girl crush” concept and image. Here are some of the highlighted comments:

Meanwhile, Sunmi recently celebrated the New Year’s Day in Bangkok, Thailand. The solo songstress took to her Instagram to share a few photos taken during her trip. In the photos, Sunmi was wearing a casual cropped T-shirt with jeans, flaunting her slender waist. She was also seen looking all glammed up in a piece of red tiger-print dress. That said, it appears that fans couldn’t help but to notice that Sunmi have lost weight again, despite claiming that she had gained 9kg in the past.
During her appearance on JTBC variety show “Knowing Bros” back in 2020, the “Siren” singer confessed that her weight was down to 41kg during the promotion period for her single “Heroine” in January 2018. At that time, she revealed to the MCs that she had gained a total of 9kg. “I thought I may die if I continued like this, so I put on some weight,” Sunmi said.
