Adaptive Clothing : The Future of Inclusive Design – Uniqlo Malaysia

0

It doesn’t matter who you are or where you live, clothes should be made for all, going beyond all the ways that define people.

Adaptive Clothing is specialised clothing that blends fashion and function to make getting dressed easier, pain-free, and convenient for differently-abled people. Estimated by Vogue Business to be valued as a global market of nearly $400 billion by 2026, there is a demand for functional yet fashion-forward clothing that’s made for all. Brands need to spend time talking to medical professionals to move this forward.

Uniqlo is proud to kick start this conversation with the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, where we explore what adaptive clothing means, what it entails, the considerations and technology that go into, and hear first-hand sharing from PWD and their quest for mobility, freedom and expression through clothing.
