What do you do when you’re too exhausted to cook? Your order take-out of course. Thanks to food-delivery services like GrabFood and Foodpanda, your meal is just one tap away and you can bet that the delivery riders will make sure you receive your order regardless of the weather.
However, while the riders are doing their best to deliver your food, there’s always the possibility of disappointment. There’s always a risk when ordering food delivery cause you may receive something that is half or poorly done. Unfortunately for this customer, he lost his appetite when he saw his meal.
Earlier this week (Wednesday, 4th January), a Twitter user who goes by the username @mijiiiiiiiii posted a photo of the meal he ordered with the caption, “To all restaurant/shop owners, if you don’t know how to make butter chicken, PLEASE DO NOT SELL!”. As seen in the photo, the butter chicken meal he received did not look appetising in the slightest.
The portion of the bland-coloured sauce on the chicken was too much that you can barely even see the chicken. In his tweet, the Twitter user said that he was starving and craving the dish so he ordered from the nearest restaurant. Speaking to a local publication, the man shared that he ordered the RM9 meal from a restaurant in Shah Alam via Foodpanda but did not expect it to turn out so horrendous.

“The price doesn’t validate how they cooked the food because, in the end, it was not even edible,” he said. He added that the taste of the butter chicken was just as bad as it looked that he couldn’t even finish the meal and threw it away. After posting the photo, netizens offered their sympathy and shared his sentiment. Many responded with jokes as well as recommendations for restaurants to ensure they sell quality butter chicken.

At the time of writing, it is still unknown which restaurant @mijiiiiiiiii ordered his meal from as he did not mention it in his original tweet. Luckily for him, he now has tons of great recommendations from netizens to enjoy good butter chicken dishes the next time he’s craving it.
