Today, it houses a touristy but colourful market where you can find lots of sellers selling a standard tourist souvenirs and lots of vintage stuffs such traditional arts and crafts from gold embroidery to silverware, pottery, pewter, batik, songket, Chinese painting, silk, keris, kites, wood craft, carvings, souvenirs and many more. Central Market opens its door from 10.00am to 9.30pm daily, with free admission to visitors of all ages. The range of products have evolved overtime to reflect more and more of the Malaysian artisans’ skills and traditions Prices are often elevated so You?ll want to hone your bargaining skills before you plunge into the markets The Admission is free with the market being open from 10 am to 10pm Key Tips The Market is situated at the border of Chinatown, so it would be a good idea to wind-up with a walking tour of Chinatown at Central Market, where you can find some air-conditioning and a refreshing drink. or a tasty Asian meal? Much of the upstairs as well as outside is given over to pubs and restaurants with great atmosphere
