Stellar XLM’s 55 billion coin burning:
Charlie Lee took to Twitter to point out the latest XLM coin burning. He showed that the burning actually increased their control of the coin’s supply by about 8%. As recent reported, XLM’s foundation has burned 55 billion XLM to reduce the circulation, from 105 billion XLM, to only 50 billion in existence. In his latest tweet, Charlie Lee said.
“50B XLMs burned were supposed to be distributed to the community. Stellar Development Foundation only burned 5 billion of their own 17 bilion XLMs. This means SDF increased their percent of total coins from 16% to 24%”.
And they did this without any community discussions.
Bitcoin plummeted to below $9,000:
In a sudden drop, Bitcoin moves to below $9,000 for the first time from the high above $10,500 two weeks ago, according to our website bitscreener.com. According to some analysis, this drop can be a correction. BTC poped up from the low $7500 to above $10,000 after Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that the country would allocate a fortune on blockchain two weeks ago. Much of Bitcoin mining was conducted in China and the country’s court has ruled Bitcoin as a private property under legal protection. China has been wanting to crack down on those mining farms and banned Bitcoin trading last year. China has always considered Bitcoin a competitor and will certainly build its own digital coin to compete with Bitcoin.
