PETALING JAYA: Police are in the midst of completing the investigation paper into a Malaysian company for allegedly misappropriating RM2.4 million meant for a pilot training programme.
Bukit Aman CCID director Ramli Yoosuf said the investigating officers had received feedback from the deputy public prosecutor.
He confirmed that Mara had lodged a police report on the alleged embezzlement, and 10 other reports were filed by trainees. He did not say when the reports were lodged. Bernama previously reported that one of the trainees had filed a report in February 2022.
Ramli said the company, owned by a Malaysian, allegedly embezzled funds for a flight training programme which was supposed to be paid to an aviation academy overseas.
Earlier this week, Bernama reported that a parent of one trainee has been forced to service a personal loan of RM200,000 he took to finance his son’s flight training under Skyvax Holdings Sdn Bhd.
He said his son was sent home from an academy in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2021 as the academy said it never received the funds from Skyvax.
