PETALING JAYA: Parti Bangsa Malaysia’s (PBM) Larry Sng said Zuraida Kamaruddin must recognise his presidency as she had signed a document affirming his position last month.
He added that the former Ampang MP had signed on the terms and conditions which stipulated that she must do so.
Sng said this in response to comments from her questioning his legitimacy as the party president.
According to the document signed on Nov 1, which Sng uploaded on Facebook, Zuraida must also recognise the appointment of the members of PBM’s disciplinary committee .

The document also stipulates that she recognises Sng’s appointment of the party’s Supreme Council members and that the remaining vacancies in the Supreme Council are to be decided by him.
The party’s Supreme Council members were appointed on Oct 30.
The document also stated that Sng shall sign the watikah (election candidacy letters) for all party candidates named by Zuraida and if necessary, appoint the latter herself to sign the watikah for candidates in West Malaysia.
“Zuraida and Haniza will try to twist the facts and confuse the public,” he said in the Facebook post, referring to Haniza Talha, the party’s deputy president.
“That was what got them suspended in the first place.
“Fortunately for PBM, I have proof to remind them of what they had agreed upon. Facts don’t lie.”
Yesterday, Zuraida rebuked Sng for contradicting a resolution by the party’s Supreme Council to appoint her as president. She also criticised the latter over the way he was managing the party, calling him “immature and arrogant”.
Meanwhile, Haniza accused him of acting unilaterally in deciding to join the unity government led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. She also urged the Registrar of Societies (RoS) to investigate his legitimacy as party president as she claimed that the party’s top leadership had “fully rejected” his presidency.
Meanwhile, a party insider told FMT that the party’s disciplinary committee will decide on the membership status of Zuraida, Haniza, and nine other suspended Supreme Council members tomorrow.
