Underwear has its uses, and for most, it’s to cover your privates. However, this farmer found a very different use for panties, and it involves watermelons!
Netizens had to do a double take when they spotted the strange sight of watermelons hanging from a fence, while ensconced in lacy panties! While it tickled many funny bones, as it turns out, there was a reason why the farmer had chosen to do so.
When the photos made their rounds on the internet, it understandably invoked much laughter from fellow netizens. It was quite the sight, several watermelons with their vines entwined around the fence, all wearing lacy and colourful panties. Needless to say, the sexy watermelons sparked plenty of discussion.
“Is it possible this melon will be sweeter?” one wondered. Another joked: “I feel inferior! Even the watermelon is sexier than me!” Others pointed out how the farmer had wisely avoided any misunderstandings by leaving the tags on the lingerie. “Lucky the tags weren’t removed, so people won’t doubt (where it came from),” one said.
But, several netizens were quick to explain the farmer’s odd choice. “(They) use the underwear as a bag to make the green on the watermelon’s skin more uniform and to ensure it doesn’t turn white,” a netizen said. Another added: “Farmers prefer lace (panties) as it’s translucent which makes it easy to observe and it’s breathable.” One also claimed it was a way to prop the watermelons up and to avoid it rotting on the ground if it got too wet.
That’s one creative and eye-catching way for this farmer to look after their produce! It’ll certainly make it easy to market the watermelons too. Well, if it works, it works!
