GOT7 Members Greet Jinyoung After Concluding Service; New Upcoming Projects Announced

In South Korea, it’s mandatory for men ages 18-35 to go for their military service. This national service that lasts around 18-21 months is compulsory for all male Korean citizens, idols included. Throughout 2024, we’ve had tons of K-pop artists starting and ending their enlistment, like NTC’s Jaehyun (재현) and BTS’ (방탄소년단) J-Hope (제이홉).

In February of 2023, GOT7’s (갓세븐) leader Lim Jaebeom (임재범) also known as Jay-B quietly enlisted and just recently concluded his service. However, he served alternatively as a public service worker, so it took him 21 months to fully complete his duty. Besides him, only one other member of the group has been enlisted, which is Park Jinyoung (박진영).

On 7th November, the latter idol officially ended his mandatory enlistment. The artist has been serving the military since 7th May 2023, making it 18 months since he first started. The 30-year-old was warmly greeted by the younger members of his group, BamBam and Yugyeom. Despite all of the GOT7 members being under different labels, they still keep a close-knit relationship and even remain as a group.

Right after picking up the newly released star, all of them immediately went live on Jinyoung’s Instagram. There, he chatted with his peers and online watching fans. Among the people in his stream, there was one particularly important viewer, Mark Tuan. Mark is the eldest member of the group and is currently residing in the USA, where he was originally from. In the live, Jinyoung proudly announced that GOT7 will be releasing an album, with Mark acting clueless about it.

Although, the idol didn’t only share that information on his Live. He also mentioned in an unofficial interview on Twitter with his fans outside his military camp that he’ll work on GOT7’s new album and also “Unknown Seoul”, which is a K-drama that the artist will be starring in till the end of this year!

There are so many things prepared for AHGASE, so be on the lookout for it! We’d like to congratulate Jinyoung for finishing his enlistment, and we hope he’ll get enough rest before continuing his activities.
