To get the elephant out of the room, compared to its predecessor, the Hopara 2 features an entirely new silhouette that makes it “feel like a sandal and function like a hiker.” These shoes of tomorrow lean towards a futuristic aesthetic.
Despite its aesthetic-focused design, the Hopara 2 is more than just casualwear, as it is equally capable of handling all sorts of terrain, such as mud, dirt, and rocks, with amphibian-like ease. These hiking shoes also feature a mesh overlay that allows for easy water drainage, with durable rubber outsoles and rubber toe caps rounding out the shoe. Furthermore, it also features quick-dry water repellency, which easily drains any trapped water, so there will be no need to remove it at your next creek crossing.
The Hopara 2 are also designed with flexibility and ease of convenience in mind, as the shoe comes wrapped with toggle lacing and an adjustable heel strap, letting you easily slip in and out of your shoes at a moment’s notice. Additionally, these shoes are environmentally friendly because they are redesigned with earth-conscious materials. A pair features a 30% sugarcane topsole & midsole, a 100% recycled knit upper, and 100% recycled Cordura mesh overlays.
Hopara 2 is available in three colours for men, which are the all-black design, “barley/oat milk,” and “shifting sand/dune.”
On the other hand, women have four colours to choose from, including the aforementioned all-black design and “shifting sands/dune,” as well as two new ones, which are “cream/cedar” and “illusion/amethyst”.
