1. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato
The childhood friends met on the set of “Barney and Friends” in 2002 and went on to become Disney Channel stars, landing roles on “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “Sonny with a Chance.” The child actors even appeared in the film “Princess Protection Program” together. Throughout their adolescence, the inseparable duo showed love and support for each other’s music and acting careers.
However, as their careers progressed, their friendship deteriorated. Their 18-year-long friendship had come to an end after Demi Lovato’s interview in 2020, when the “Cool for the Summer” singer confirmed that they were not friends.
2. Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie
The pair made their Hollywood debut in 2003 on a reality TV show called “The Simple Life,” and went on to become the hottest socialites, the “It” girls of their generation, and ultimate BFFs throughout their careers. Despite their close bond, the girls had a feud that strained their friendship, which was exacerbated by their fans taking sides while they were on Season 3 of their reality show.
“It’s no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends. Nicole knows what she did, and that’s all I’m ever going to say about it,” the “Cooking with Paris” reality star commented on their friendship in 2005. Nonetheless, the two stars reconciled in 2007 and have remained friends to this day. In fact Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are reuniting for a brand new reality series on Peacock.
3. Winona Ryder and Gwyneth Paltrow
These actresses were close friends in the 1990s and became even closer when they began dating BFFs Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. However, a rift formed between the “Edward Scissorhands” and “Emma” stars as a result of a rumour. Gwyneth allegedly stole the script for “Shakespeare in Love” from Winona.
It was unclear whether Gwyneth stole the script or contacted her agent about a role in the film. In any case, the actress was cast in the film and won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as Viola de Lesseps. As of now, the two have not reconciled.
4. Jennifer Lopez and Eva Longoria
During her third divorce from ex-husband Marc Anthony, the “Ain’t Your Mama” singer also lost one of her closest friends, the “Desperate Housewives” actress Eva Longoria. Following the divorce, the actress consoled Marc, which J-Lo saw as a huge betrayal on her part.
To make matters worse, two months after J-Lo gave birth to her twins, a photo of Eva sitting on Marc’s lap at a party in Las Vegas was published. The now-married actress and singer has made no attempt to reconcile their friendship.

Kylie Jenner, the reality TV star from “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and founder of Kylie Cosmetics, had severed ties with her best friend Jordyn Woods following a cheating scandal involving Khloe Kardashian and baby daddy Tristan Thompson. Despite the fact that Khloe appears to have forgiven both Tristan and Jordyn, Kylie and Jordyn have not rekindled their friendship, preferring to keep their distance on social media.
7. Kid Cudi and Kanye West
Kanye West was not only a former collaborator of Kid Cudi, but also the rapper’s mentor. Kanye demanded that Kid Cudi cut all ties with Pete Davidson after Kim Kardashian revealed their relationship. Kim Kardashian and Larsa Pippen, close friends, had a falling out in 2020, and the entire Kardashian family members unfollowed her on social media. Larsa claims that Kim’s then-husband, Kanye West, played a role in their breakup.
