Honda City Hatchback in Phoenix Orange Pearl – new colour joins red, silver, grey, pearl white; no extra cost

Did you know that the Honda City Hatchback is now available in orange? If you missed the news from earlier this month, or want to see live images of the popular B-segment hatchback in the new Phoenix Orange Pearl, here you go – a full gallery of the City Hatchback in the fresh colour option.

Phoenix Orange Pearl does not replace another colour option, and is available alongside the original palette that consists of Ignite Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic (petrol only), Meteoroid Grey and Platinum White Pearl. While the latter is a RM300 cost option, POP, which is also a pearl effect paint job, doesn’t come with a premium.

Launched in May, the facelifted City Hatchback is priced at RM85,900 for the S, RM90,900 for the E, RM95,900 for the V, RM100,900 for the RS and RM112,900 for the e:HEV RS hybrid. New looks aside, all variants of the City Hatch now get the Honda Sensing suite of safety features as standard.

It’s tried and tested under the hood, where a 121 PS/145 Nm 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated DOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder engine is mated to a CVT gearbox.

As for the hybrid, a 109 PS/253 Nm electric motor gets power from a 98 PS/127 Nm Atkinson-cycle version of the 1.5L engine that primarily functions as a generator, but can also drive the car at higher speeds (where ICE is more efficient) through a single-speed transmission and lock-up clutch.
