Infinix Note 40 5G Receives SIRIM Certification; Local Launch Imminent

0

Last month, Infinix launched the Note 40 series made up of four devices, but only two of which were released in Malaysia. Now we might see the arrival of a fifth smartphone from the lineup, which will likely be a 5G version of the vanilla model.

The Note 40 5G received SIRIM certification last week, listed on 5 April 2024 with the model number X6852. Given its name, it will likely have specs that are below that of the Note 40 Pro 4G, with a charging speed of only 33W with a battery capacity of 5,000mAh, according to a leak of a phone with the same model number. As of now, the upcoming device has not been announced by the brand yet.

To recall, the Note 40 4G sports a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, and Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. The entry-level device runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

For imaging, it features a 108MP main camera with OIS, a secondary sensor, and a 32MP selfie shooter. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired and 20W wireless charging. The 4G variant retails for RM899, so we can expect the Note 40 5G to cost a bit more.
