Landslide at Jalan Besar Kampung Raja blocks road to Cameron Highlands – alternative routes available
Continuous heavy rain on Sunday (January 5, 2025) caused a landslide at Jalan Besar Kampung Raja near the Blue Valley junction on Monday (January 6).
As reported by The Star, information about the landslide was received at 3.15am, and the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) was dispatched to the site.
In a statement, the district disaster management secretariat said the main route from Simpang Pulai/Lojing to Cameron Highlands is blocked in both directions. Alternative routes are available via the Sungai Koyan road in Lipis and Tapah road to reach Cameron Highlands. Debris cleaning efforts are currently ongoing and the incident did not involve any victims or houses, it added.
