Leapmotor B10 debuts at 2024 Paris Motor Show

The Leapmotor B10 has officially made its debut at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, and this is a C-segment SUV that slots into the product line-up below the C10 that is a D-segment SUV offering, making it brand’s smallest model after the T03 city car.

Underpinned by the manufacturer’s Leap 3.5 architecture, the B10 is the first to use the B-series platform that will form the basis of future Leapmotor models. The B10 has been designed to “meet the needs of tech-savvy, eco-conscious consumers looking for an electric vehicle that blends style, performance, and advanced technology,” according to Stellantis.

Specific details on the B10 have yet to be disclosed officially, though current models in the Leapmotor product range offer a range-extender powertrain – where a combustion engine serves as a generator – in addition to a battery-electric setup, save for the T03 which is purely a BEV.

In terms of styling, the Leapmotor B10 draws from the C10 in using a front fascia that resembles that of the larger model, though with the closed-off grille joining a pair of slimmer headlamps. At the rear, a full-width light bar connects the tail lamps, and bears more than a passing resemblance to the units on the fully electric Porsche Macan.

Inside, the B10’s Leap 3.5 architecture enables the use of ADAS, a customisable digital cockpit and intelligent driving capabilities, says Leapmotor.

According to Car News China, the Leapmotor B10 will be priced in China between 100,000 yuan to 150,000 yuan, or RM60,607 to RM90,898, though the carmaker has not stated pricing for the B10 in Europe or other markets. It stated that further B-series models will be launched in Europe in 2025.

As mentioned, the B10 will be the Leapmotor’s first model from its B platform, and the brand will be launching thre new models from the B range next year, reported Car News China. Higher-end models from the range will also be equipped with lidar and AI intelligent driving chips, it added.
