BATANG KALI: All 30 bodies recovered from the landslide location at the Father’s Organic Farm camping site in Gohtong Jaya, near here, have now been identified.
According to the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma), their identities were obtained through four methods – by matching their DNA, fingerprints or dental records, as well as through identification by their next of kin.
The family or relatives had also confirmed the identities based on the personal belongings of the victims as well as any unique marks found on their body.
The post-mortem on the victims had also been carried out, and their remains were handed over to the families and relatives by Hospital Sungai Buloh’s forensics department.
“Any latest information concerning the victims will be updated from time to time after being verified by the agencies responsible,” Nadma said in a statement last night.
