Just recently, there was quite a stir within the local influencer community. Top influencer and OnlyFans content creator MsPuiyi (Siew Pui Yi) shocked many when she revealed she would be debuting as a DJ. In an even more shocking turn of events, MsPuiyi made it clear she would be giving up OnlyFans for it!
While many have expressed their support for her career change, it seems a few aren’t too happy. In fact, local DJ Yanis (林燕婷) recently took a pot-shot at Pui Yi and fellow OnlyFans content creator Gatita (Tong Lee Yan) on her Facebook! However, Gatita was quick to respond to the matter, not only defending herself but also MsPuiyi.
On 3rd December, a day after MsPuiyi’s announcement, DJ Yanis took to her socials to share her thoughts about the reveal. “Ok, great. Let’s all be DJs,” she wrote. “Gatita is suddenly DJ-ing on stage, MsPuiyi has (whitewashed herself) and wants to put her clothes on again. Everyone should be very happy.”
However, her sarcastic message received mixed feelings. Some agreed with her, claiming it “made them uncomfortable“. Others joined in on the joke, stating they too wanted to start spinning discs. A few even quipped that Yanis should switch to OnlyFans to balance things out.
However, others felt her tone wasn’t appropriate. “There is no need to put others down to lift yourself up,” a netizen pointed out. “When you talk like this, you only show your own quality and character.” Another added, “Seriously, it looks like you’re being (jealous).”
It was certainly sweet that some netizens were sticking up for them. But, Gatita decided to personally respond to the matter and did so via her Instagram Stories. “So, you mean you’re the only one in the world who can be a DJ?” she asked in an overlay over DJ Yanis’s post. “Everyone has the right to choose the career they want to develop (in). They can finally do what they want to do but are directly humiliated,” she said, adding that she understood it was still hard to please everyone.

Gatita went on to call DJ Yanis out on her actions. “Please don’t pretend to be superior to humiliate MsPuiyi,” the influencer stated. Gatita explained that she had seen MsPuiyi’s hard work with her own eyes and was impressed by it. “She isn’t as superficial as you said, thanks,” the influencer snidely remarked.
The influencer made it clear that she had written up her response to “piss off people who think they are superior”. “I won’t say much about your (character),” Gatita added. “(But) you can continue to be that lovely and pitiful person who needs everyone’s help to survive.”
Pui Yi herself hasn’t made a direct remark about the issue. However, yesterday (6th November), she did make an IG Story thanking fans and friends for their love and positive energy. Currently, she seems to be busy preparing for her debut set at Gemu Club KL on 9th November.
We can definitely agree that Pui Yi has a hard road laid out in front of her. However, like Gatita, we have confidence MsPuiyi will continue to show up her naysayers. You go, girl!
