PETALING JAYA: Tourism minister Tiong King Sing says he is fully focused on his job after a video showing him dancing went viral earlier last week.
In a Twitter post, the Bintulu MP said he had a meeting with tourism ministry officials in Putrajaya today and noted the “heavy and challenging task” at hand.
“(It’s) time to focus and work seriously,” he said.
“It’s not the time to dance like in the viral video before this,” he added with a smiling emoticon.

The Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) president was referring to a video of him dancing during a Gawai celebration at a longhouse.
Although the video was recorded in June, it started spreading on social media last Friday after Tiong was named tourism minister in Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s Cabinet.
The video posted on his Facebook page garnered nearly 970,000 views as of 10pm today, with netizens commenting that Tiong seemed to be the perfect fit for the tourism minister’s post due to his jovial nature.
