Paynet Launches Cashless Bazaar Ramadhan Campaign

Paynet is accelerating the use of cashless payments amongst MSMEs this Ramadhan with the launch of the Cashless Bazaar Ramadhan campaign in seven states across the nation throughout the month of Ramadhan. The campaign is collaboration with banks and digital payment platform partners and aimed at making cashless transactions top of mind for consumers by making it the option for customers at Bazaar Ramadhan.

“Preparing for a new year of Bazaar Ramadhan, the Cashless Bazaar Ramadhan campaign will work together with both our digital payment partners as well as the merchants to increase DuitNow QR touchpoints across these seven states to ensure efficient payment systems for the Bazaar Ramadhan customers. With more payment options, these merchants can explore the possibilities of venturing into a larger business model after Ramadhan and growing from a vendor at a bazaar. With these touchpoints made available, this will also encourage more cashless spending at Bazaar Ramadhan, as we estimate over three million DuitNow QR transactions throughout the campaign,” Azrul Fakhzan Mainor, Senior Director, Commercial, PayNet, said.

“Welcoming the holy month of Ramadhan, Malaysians are looking forward to celebrating the festivity, especially as the buzz for Bazaar Ramadhan has already begun. As the national payments network, PayNet explores efficient and easier payment methods for an enhanced “shopping” experience for merchants and customers. With this, the Cashless Bazaar Ramadhan campaign will enable cashless merchants at several Bazaar Ramadhan within 46 locations across seven states – Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, Perak, Sarawak, Terengganu, and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. Each state is co-collaborated by PayNet’s digital payment partners to empower and encourage small businesses to accept e-payments through DuitNow QR.”
