Houses on sale seem to always attract a lot of Malaysians, especially when they’re either abandoned or being auctioned off at astonishingly high prices. Previously, many were bewildered when a “mini jungle” near the Petronas Twin Towers was being listed for RM69 million.

While this bungalow in Kuala Lumpur does not cost as much, it certainly attracted the attention of netizens. Here’s what’s interesting about the property:

Real estate agent Hafizal Jamaee recently posted in the ‘Jalan Ipoh, Jalan Kuching, Kepong, Segambut, Menjalara, Desa Park City’ Facebook group about a bungalow in Segambut Dalam that is currently up for grabs. While it’s common to see housing ads in these groups, what makes this house so special? According to the post, the bungalow is situated on 1 acre of land (47,770 sqft) with a build-up of approximately 3,000 sqft.

Another key feature of this property is that it is located next to Al-Ubudiah Segambut Dalam Mosque, which makes it very convenient for Muslim residents to perform their prayers. The abode also comes with the following:

  • Freehold
  • 3 Large bedrooms
  • 3 Bathrooms
  • 1 Study room
  • 1 Maid room with a toilet
  • 3 Utilities/Storeroom
  • Variety of local fruit trees
  • Super spacious land for any development

As seen in the screenshot above, the bungalow is currently listed at RM12 million, but the real estate agent has stated that the price is negotiable. While there has been no mention of the previous owners, one netizen in the comments noted that Malaysia’s current Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, used to live in the Segambut Dalam area.

According to several reports by Harian Metro and Sinar Harian, this information is true. Although the politician has no ties to the viral house listing, his association with the area could partially explain why the bungalow is valued at RM12 million.

Would you purchase this house if given the chance?
