1. Pavilion Damansara Heights
Pavilion Damansara Heights is celebrating Deepavali with a unique blend of style, culture, and hope, featuring a special tribute to Pink October with the “Lotus of Hope” Kolam, available until 31st October 2024. Designed by Mr. Jayakumar from the Malaysian Bumiputra Designer Association (MBDA), the vibrant kolam symbolises resilience, hope, and renewal. The pink hues represent compassion and the importance of early detection, while the lotus flower, rising from muddy waters, serves as a powerful metaphor for strength in adversity.
2. The Gardens Mall
The Gardens Mall has once again impressed visitors with a stunning kolam design for this year’s Deepavali celebration, inspired by the sacred cow element. In Hinduism and Indian culture, the cow holds deep spiritual significance, symbolising purity and the reincarnation of human souls, as described in Hindu scriptures. You can visit The Gardens Mall from 11th October to 3rd November to witness this unique kolam and enjoy a range of fun activities, including traditional dance performances and henna art experiences!
3. Pavilion Kuala Lumpur
Pavilion Kuala Lumpur has brought the Festival of Lights to life with a stunning 3D kolam glowing in vibrant colours and radiant diya lights, surrounding their iconic Crystal Fountain. Majestic peacocks, symbolising grace and good fortune, further elevate the festive spirit. To add to the celebration, Pavilion KL hosts Indian cultural performances every weekend from 12th to 27th October, featuring talents from Global Indian International School and Barbeque Nation. This spectacular setup will be available until 3rd November, so don’t miss out!
4. Intermark Mall
Visitors to Intermark Mall will be amazed by the “Bejewelled Deepavali” decoration corner, which highlights the theme of prosperity and good fortune through the dazzling artistry of traditional and modern jewellery. Enjoy vibrant performances by the Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) Indian Club at 12pm on 21st and 25th October and Laasya Arts Academy at the same time on 26th and 29th October. A diya light painting and decorating workshop is also available exclusively for shoppers.
5. Pavilion Bukit Jalil
In collaboration with 45 students from UCSI University’s De Institute of Creative Arts and Design (ICAD), Pavilion Bukit Jalil has unveiled stunning kolams on display across the mall until 3rd November. These beautiful kolams celebrate unity and the rich heritage of our nation through art and culture. The “Light Up Deepavali” decorations can be found on Level 2 in the Pink Zone and at the main entrance on Level 3.
6. Da Men USJ
Looking for an Insta-worthy spot to show off your new dhoti or saree? Da Men USJ has the perfect Deepavali decoration corner for you to strike a pose with loved ones. The celebration also includes a Little Indian Bazaar on the Lower Ground Floor, where shoppers can explore an array of Indian delicacies and crafts. Don’t miss the vibrant performances of ethnic dances from various regions of India too!
7. Fahrenheit88
Fahrenheit88 has launched its “Glow of Togetherness” Deepavali celebration in collaboration with INTI University’s Center of Art and Design and Raffles College Kuala Lumpur. The mall is beautifully adorned with decor reflecting the Festival of Lights, including stunning kolam designs created by esteemed guests throughout the shopping centre. The campaign will run until 3rd November, offering a variety of special activities for shoppers to enjoy.
