PETALING JAYA: Police in Port Dickson have arrested a husband and wife following allegations by their daughter that he raped her repeatedly over an eight-year period, during which she gave birth to two children.
Port Dickson police chief Aidi Sham Mohamed said the daughter, aged 20, lodged a police report on Wednesday night, Sinar Harian reported.
“She told police she was raped by her biological father, aged 40, since she was 12 years old and reported this to her mother,” Aidi said, adding that the mother allegedly ignored what was going on despite the girl giving birth twice.
He said one child reportedly died at birth, while the other is now three years old.
Aidi said the daughter alleged the attacks began in 2016, when she was 12, and only ended recently.
“The alleged incidents all took place in a room in their house in Kampung Chuah, Port Dickson.
“Following the police report, we arrested the male suspect and his wife at about 11.40am on Friday,” he said.
The suspects have been remanded until May 8.
Aidi said the case is being investigated under Section 376B of the Penal Code for committing incest.
