Putrajaya MRT back to normal, probe under way

Rapid Rail says a thorough investigation will be conducted to identify the cause of the disruption.

PETALING JAYA: Normal services have resumed on the Putrajaya MRT after a disruption caused by a communications systems problem this evening.

Transit operator Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd said services resumed at 9.48pm, with detailed rectification work to be conducted by the technical team after operating hours.

“As the operator, we take this disruption seriously, as it has affected users of the latest MRT route services in the rail network,” it said in a statement.

“We are collaborating with MRT Corp, the asset owner, as well as the contractor and supplier of the system concerned to conduct a thorough investigation and identify the root cause of the disruption.”

Rapid Rail said free shuttle bus services from Chan Sow Lin Station to Putrajaya Sentral Station will continue to be provided as an alternative option for passengers to continue their journey to their respective destinations.
