Rollti caters to Malaysians from all walks of life by offering variety in their menu, including halal ingredients and plant-based fillings. The creation process is an intriguing combination of technology and skill, elevating the usual mamak experience, with a twist. Upon ordering, you get to see your roti being made from scratch and assembled within 6 to 7 minutes.
Rollti has an extensive menu ranging from chicken, beef and lamb, to sardine, egg, vegetarian and sweet wraps. Here’s what we tried:
Keju Deja Vu
This wrap has chicken, corn, purple cabbage and cheesy gravy. The portion is quite filling. As for the taste, it’s really savoury. The chicken was tender. It also had a good crunch because of the corn. The wrap was well cooked and best eaten warm.
Chill La Grill La Lamb
Absolutely amazing! Getting something with lamb, especially in a wrap, is a hit or miss thing because you need to make sure it’s cooked really well. At Rollti, the lamb meat is not only tasty but easy to eat too. We really love how we could taste the juiciness from the lamb, and the sauce was really good too.
Bananutella
Last but not least, we decided to go with something sweet. We were recommended the Bananutella. Basically, the roti canai is covered with Nutella spread and topped with freshly-chopped bananas. It was indeed sweet – and, don’t forget – healthy. This is something you can enjoy during breakfast or brunch.
Besides what we had, there are also other Malaysia-inspired wraps, like the Beef Rindu Rendang, a nostalgic Malaysian flavour. Then, there’s Sambal Meletop – chicken wrap topped with explosive sambal. And also, the Spicy Chicken Mayo.
For drinks, we tried FrappeTeh and Mau Bandung. FrappeTeh is pretty much Malaysians’ favourite drink, teh tarik, that’s blended with ice. It’s really refreshing – not too sweet and pairs so well with the roti canai wraps, especially the sweet ones.
Mau Bandung is bandung with refreshing limau cooler. Also less sweet and pairs well with the savoury wraps. There are also other impressive locally-inspired drinks, like Stylo Milo, PowerPandan, Hari Hari Limau and the classics, that are a must-try.
Rollti’s first outlet has just opened at The Starling Mall in Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya. To commemorate its recent launch, Rollti is offering a “buy one, free one” power combo for everyone to savour their wraps-with-a-twist. Grab your roti canai on-the-go now!
