PARIS: A see-through dress, a skin-tight jumpsuit, or even cycling shorts worn with a white shirt. How many times have you wondered if the looks worn by celebrities would ever suit your figure?
The American influencer Katie Sturino, who works to educate brands and the public about more inclusive fashion, chose not to ask that question, but to dive straight in.
Through her blog, The12ishstyle, and her Instagram account, she uses side-by-side photos to demonstrate that these celebrity outfits, whatever they may be, are indeed accessible to all women.
And it’s going down a storm online! The young entrepreneur – who founded her own beauty brand called Megababe and wrote the book “Body Talk – How to Embrace Your Body and Start Living Your Best Life” – is now followed by some 790,000 fans.

Her followers love the way she puts together her plus-size looks, so much so that most of them prefer them to the original outfits.
Among the numerous comments found under her posts, many congratulate and thank her for this initiative that helps people to find confidence in themselves, and to find looks that can work for all sizes – something that’s still all too rare in fashion.
Fashion for all
However, Katie Sturino does not (re)create each of the selected looks identically. She uses, as it is often the case in women’s magazines, a celebrity photo as a starting point to find an outfit that’s as close as possible to the original pieces.

This is accompanied by product references to easily find the creations she wears. And the results are impressive.

From Kaia Gerber and Selena Gomez to Heidi Klum, Rihanna, Khloe Kardashian, Hailey Bieber, Blake Lively and Victoria Beckham, all the most famous celebrities on the planet – often major fashion icons – have been the focus of the #SuperSizeTheLook hashtag.
The influencer shuns all limits, refusing to only reproduce looser looks, or those that the collective subconscious wouldn’t imagine seeing in larger sizes.
Whether it’s a fluorescent pink skin-tight jumpsuit, a terry cloth dress, a cut-out dress, a crop top or a fully transparent dress, the American influencer shows that everything – absolutely everything – can make a woman look good, whatever her size or body shape.
A growing number of social media accounts are taking up the theme of inclusive fashion, whether in a very serious way or with a more offbeat tone.
Followed by more than nine million people, including a host of celebrities, comedian Celeste Barber is known for her parody photos and videos of models and international stars.
These have already contributed, several years ago, to spurring a movement of self-acceptance on social networks.
