The world might be getting a little colder, but these shoes are hot, Hot, HOT!

From groundbreaking hybrids to exceptional all-terrain kicks, here are new shoe drops you don’t want to miss.

Vans MTE Crosspath & MTE Crosspath Mid

We are well into the “Ber” months now. And as the temperature continues to drop, people are decking not just their halls but also their bodies with clothing that is appropriate for the weather. Luckily, Vans has you covered with its Made for The Elements (MTE) line of products.

Arriving just in time for the brand’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection, the MTE Crosspath is here to put those frosty toes to rest. The shoe has a new traction pattern, contoured insoles, and a seamless RAPIDWELD construction that has been treated with a non-PFC DWR water-repellent coating. It features a curved sole with cross-hatched grooves that makes this shoe a pleasurable walking experience while providing incredible grip.

All of these combined create an incredible wearing sensation that not only keeps your feet comfortable but also warm and dry from any weather conditions.

However, Vans is absolutely spoiling its fans, as the brand is also releasing Vans MTE Crosspath Mid. It features all the design choices from the previous version – but this variation features a unique, rubber-like collar that provides excellent ankle support and protection.

Another point of difference is the outsole, which features a totally revamped design that is meant to tackle mixed, uneven, loose, or wet terrain. It is also environment-friendly, as it has been ethically sourced from farmlands, which in turn promotes biodiversity, enhances water cycles, improves soil health, and sequesters carbon.

For colourways, the Vans MTE Crosspath is available in “Bitter Chocolate Brown” and “Grey”; while the MTE Crosspath Mid comes in “Blue” and “Purple.” Both shoes are available for purchase on the Vans webstore and select retailers for US$130 (RM558) and US$140 (RM601) respectively.

Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance 1906L

With Paris Fashion Week over and done with, we can now take the opportunity to take a gander at all the latest drip that could be filling our wardrobes. One such standout product would be none other than Junya Watanabe’s latest collaboration with New Balance.

Introducing the Junya Watanabe Man x New Balance 1906 Loafer. Appearing in a sleek black body, this hybridised shoe takes the best elements of a loafer and a sneaker and blends them all together. This shoe’s mere existence already transcends boundaries that most brands dare not go near.

A large portion of the shoe, specifically its upper, is constructed with luxurious black leather, something you typically see with traditional loafers, but there are more colours on the way. On the other hand, the rest of the shoe features elements from the beloved New Balance 1906, such as the toe guards, midsole, and sole.

The majority of the shoe is made of leather and rubber and has a somewhat technical and rugged design. The shoe also has a tiny New Balance tag on the side and a Junya Watanabe Man tag on the toe.

The Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance 1906L is set to drop on 18th October and can be purchased via the Junya Watanabe MAN Stocklist in Japan for JP¥49,500 (~RM1,421), with an international listing to follow.
