(Video) Ariana Grande Slammed By Jeffrey Dahmer’s Victim’s Family For Her Fascination With Him

Pop icon Ariana Grande is currently facing backlash from the families of one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims. In a recent podcast, the singer recalled answering a fan’s question about who she would like to have a sit-down dinner with. The “Problems” singer responded, “I mean, Jeff D’s pretty interesting. I would have loved to have met him.”

The actress explained that this comment was made years ago, during her time filming “Sam & Cat” and while she was growing her music career. She noted that her fanbase at the time was primarily young kids.

After the statement went viral, Shirley Hughes, the mother of Tony Hughes, one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims who was also deaf, expressed her disgust to TMZ. “To me, it seems like she’s sick in her mind. It’s not fancy or funny to say you would have wanted to do dinner with him.”

Tony Hughes’ sister, Barbara, echoed her mother’s sentiments, stating that the R.E.M beauty founder owes an apology to her fans and to the other families affected by the serial killer’s crimes. She added, “Unfortunately, until it happens to her and her family, she just doesn’t know what we have been through.“

Jeffrey Dahmer notoriously murdered 17 men and boys from 1978 to 1991, committing acts of torture, dismemberment, sexual assault, and cannibalism. He was sentenced to life in prison in 1992 and was beaten to death by inmates two years later.

While it is possible to understand the Grammy award winner’s curiosity about the serial killer, the reactions from the victims’ families are equally understandable. We await the public figure’s response to the backlash.
