WCE (West Coast Expressway) has announced that toll fare collection for Section 1, which connects the Banting interchange with the South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) interchange, will begin September 30, Monday from 12:01 am, the highway operator has announced.
Section 1 of the WCE was launched on August 30, and passage along the section is toll free until September 29 (Sunday). Section 1 is the southernmost part of the highway, spanning 12.5 km from Banting, Selangor to Taiping, Perak along the west coast of the peninsular.
Toll rates for Section 1 of the WCE are fully integrated with the South Klang Valley Expressway interchange via the Tanjung Dua Belas interchange. These rates consider the entire journey of highway users, including the portion travelled on the SKVE, the highway operator stated.
As is standard practice now, toll fare collection for Section 1 on the WCE will be fully electronic, with acceptance of Touch ‘n Go cards, SmartTag and RFID. Users are advised to have sufficient credit balance in their Touch ‘n Go cards and e-wallets before starting their journeys.
