Now in Malaysia is the 2025 BMW Motorrad R1300 GS Adventure adventure-tourer, which pricing starting from RM150,000. There are four model variants – the base model R1300 GSA at RM150,000, the Triple Black and the Style GS Trophy at RM155,000, and the Option 719 Karkorum at RM165,000.
BMW Motorrad’s Automated Shift Assistant (ASA) which allows for clutchless gear shifts is standard equipment for the Triple Black, the Style GS Trophy, and Option 719 Karkorum. Meanwhile, the base model R1300 GSA comes with manual clutch lever and foot gear shift for the six-speed gearbox.
In the engine room, the R1300 GSA comes with BMW Motorrad’s new 1,300 cc boxer engine, first seen in the R1300 GS, as well as the R1300 R, R1300 RS and R1300 RT. Power for the latest iteration of the Munich firm’s legendary boxer-twin is 145 hp at 7,750 rpm with a maximum torque of 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm.




For riding modes, four are provided, starting with “Enduro” for off-road riding. “Rain” and “Road” riding modes are self explanatory with “Eco” mode gives the maximum range from the fuel tank. Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) with braking function and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) also come as standard.
Included in the riding aids are Engine drag torque control (MSR), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) and Hill Start Control (HSC). Optional equipment is BMW Motorrad’s “Riding Assistant” which gives Active Cruise Control (ACC), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Change Warning and the new Rear End Collision Warning (RECW). The RECW system signals an impending rear end collision to following traffic by flashing the hazard warning lights with a higher frequency.
Other standard equipment includes Keyless Ride, tyre pressure monitoring, heated grips, and hand protectors with integral flashing turn indicator. Also included is auxiliary lights, Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) with load compensation, and the R1300 GSA is ready with mounting points for BMW Motorrad accessories.
There is also the optional adaptive vehicle height control comfort with all the features and functions of adaptive vehicle height control but is a further 20 mm lower. This makes it suitable for for shorter riders, or for easy accessibility and even easier handling.
31-liters of fuel is carried in the tank, with an 870 mm seat height and a wet weight of 269 kg fully-fuelled. Rolling gear is done with a 19-inch spoked wheel in front wearing a 120/70 tyre while the rear gets a 17-inch hoop shod with 170/60 rubber.
