Apple has unveiled Apple The Exchange TRX, marking the launch of its first store in Malaysia. Situated in the vibrant Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) central business district of Kuala Lumpur, this new store aims to bring an unparalleled Apple experience to the country.
Apple The Exchange TRX seamlessly integrates with the mall’s central atrium and a verdant rooftop park enveloping its upper level. Illuminating softly at night, its innovative three-dimensional roof comprises horizontal glass panels and shading blades to temper sunlight. A central glazed oculus floods the interior with natural light and boasts dynamic artificial lighting.
Inside, a striking quartz and glass staircase connects three levels, offering spaces for exploration, learning, and shopping. The Forum, host to “Today at Apple” events, rests on a floating deck linked to the mall, while the upper level interfaces directly with the park’s edge, bringing in daylight and foliage through a continuous glass wall. Apple The Exchange TRX operates entirely on renewable energy and is carbon neutral.
Guests are encouraged to explore display areas and shop for the latest innovations such as the iPad Air with M2, iPhone 15 series, and Apple’s inaugural carbon-neutral Apple Watch lineup. Apple Specialists eagerly engage with the local community through personalised setup, iOS transitions, and Apple Trade In, offering trade-ins for new devices. Apple The Exchange TRX provides a dedicated Apple Pickup counter for convenient online orders and offers hands-on technical support through Genius Bar reservations, ensuring expert assistance when needed.
To celebrate the opening, a special series called “Jom Discover” will run from Saturday, 22nd June, through Saturday, 6th July. This series will showcase some of Malaysia’s most celebrated creators, offering insights into their creative processes while highlighting Apple’s comprehensive range of products and services. The “Jom Discover” sessions include:

- Spotlight on video magic on Mac with Adam Lobo
- Workshop on turning ideas into action on iPad with Iman Azman
