Hello travel enthusiasts, this is the 5th video of my Malaysia series, where I am taking you to the heritage China Town or Petaling Street Market, as the local’s say. The area has dozens of restaurants and food stalls, serving local favorites such as Hokkien mee, Ikan Bakar (barbecued fish), asam laksa and curry noodles. Reggae Bar Chinatown is located here. Traders here are mainly Chinese but there are also Indian, Malay, and Bangladeshi traders. It is also known for street prostitution
The second place is a paradise for electronics lovers. Low Yat Plaza is the oldest shopping center specializing in electronics and IT products in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In 2009, Plaza Low Yat was named “Malaysia’s Largest IT Lifestyle Center” by the Malaysia Book of Records. Plaza Low Yat falls under the Low Yat Group, alongside other properties in the city center such as Federal Hotel, Capitol Hotel, Federal Arcade and BBpark. Plaza Low Yat is widely regarded as the most comprehensive IT center in Kuala Lumpur, offering various IT products and services from mobile, photography, and gaming, to computing and repairs. Each floor in the center generally specializes in a particular group of IT products.The center is notoriously known for the amount of haggling and price comparisons required in order to find good deals, as well as the availability of software and games at relatively cheap prices.
It opens at 10 am till 10 pm seven days a week.
