It's no secret that traffic coming from a top Google search result is some of the most desirable traffic around – if you can get it.
Apart from the obvious benefit of being free, traffic from a top search engine ranking is about three times more inclined to subscribe to your list and even buy your product. That's because the level of trust is far higher when the visitor sees you have a top 10 search engine ranking on merit, rather than paying for the privilege via a pay per click ad.
The problem is – until now – it has required a great deal of effort and much search engine optimization voodoo to get that coveted top search engine ranking. So I was loved to recently get a # 1 listing on both Google and Yahoo for a video I created for my healthy eating tips website. And, bearing in mind there were 497,000 competitive text pages for this popular phrase it was a very neat trick.
You see, since May 2007, Google has been combining video with the regular text based search results. Now seekers can increasingly see video results and even specify video only searches. Right now, very few people realize it's possible to use this facility to get ahead of the crowd, totally free of charge. You simply use some free software to create a simple video, by simply pasting in digital photos you already have sitting in your computer right now. The software creates a professional looking video pretty much on autopilot, including titles and a music sound track ready to upload to the video sharing sites. If you can copy and paste, you can do this.
Not only is it great fun and very easy, you instantly get a far better search engine ranking, making you and your web site more easily findable, rather than being invisible among millions of text searches.
Nor is this a fluke, as I also got the same video ranked # 4 (twice) and # 7 for different keyword phrases against as many as four million competitive text pages.
