With her new album all set and ready for release in March, global star Lady Gaga is also looking to go back on the road. However, could the star be performing exclusively in Singapore later this year?
Singaporean media recently reported that the country has won exclusive rights to host the Oscar-winning singer for several shows. The rumour suggests that Lady Gaga will perform four to six consecutive shows at the Singapore National Stadium in May 2025. According to reports, Singapore is the only country in Southeast Asia hosting the star, and she will not perform in other countries in the region.
If the rumours are true, the concerts would be similar to that of Taylor Swift and her “The Eras Tour” concerts. In 2024, the songstress held six concerts in Singapore, the only Southeast Asian stop for her record-breaking tour. Media outlets reported the exclusivity was because Taylor signed a contract with the government of Singapore to hold her concerts only in the country.
The Singapore Tourism Board didn’t directly comment on the rumours that Lady Gaga will perform in the country. However, the board said they welcome more world-class performances to Singapore. The news has also spread to local and international fans of the singer, who voiced excitement about the potential of a Lady Gaga concert in Asia. The star’s last concert in Singapore was in 2012 when she performed at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
It’s worth noting that Lady Gaga and her team have yet to announce any world tour. Live Nation previously announced plans for a world tour for the singer but has yet to confirm the news. However, she did unveil plans for a large-scale free concert in Brazil on 3rd May 2025. There are also speculations that the rumoured Singapore concerts are not part of the tour.
