It’s Wednesday, which means it is now time again for the weekly fuel price update in Malaysia, and the ministry of finance has announced the retail prices of fuels for the coming week of May 1 to 7.

Once again, there is no change in the price of RON 97 petrol, which therefore continues at its present rate of RM3.18 per litre as it was last week. As before, the price of RON 95 petrol remains at its ceiling price of RM2.05 per litre, as set by the Malaysian government in February 2021.

Likewise, diesel Euro 5 B10 and B20 grades continue at RM2.88 per litre, and Euro 5 B7 diesel fuel – which is priced at 20 sen more per litre – remains priced at RM3.08 per litre for the coming week. The retail price of diesel fuel in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan continues unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

These fuel prices will take effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, May 7, when the next set of fuel price updates will be announced. This is the 18th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for this year, and the 329th in total since the format was introduced at the start of 2019.
