PETALING JAYA: The Semenyih water treatment plant was shut down at 7pm today due to odour pollution.
In a Facebook post, Air Selangor said odour pollution was detected at the Jenderam Hilir Raw Water Pump Station.
However, Air Selangor has yet to release the list of affected areas, promising to notify residents later.
“We will provide updates from time to time,” the water concessionaire said in a statement.
Earlier this month, the Sungai Semenyih and Bukit Tampoi water treatment plants were temporarily shut down due to odour pollution.
