When you write articles you need to write to a niche, a specific group of people. Writing to everyone sounds like a great idea, but you can not reach every one. You can however reach a specific group of people.

But how do you determine your niche and to what you are writing?

There are several strategies for identifying your niche. Today we are going to take a closer look at the "mirror strategy" and how to use it in writing to your niche.

The mirror strategy Here is how the mirror strategy works – get up and go look in the mirror. Who do you see? What kind of person do you see?

You just may be looking at a great representative of your niche. Why? Because birds of a feather flock together. One niche you already know quite a bit about is the kind of person you are? What are your wants and needs? What are your most important problems and challenges?

So who else do you know that is just like you in important ways? What do you want to read? What problems would you like to see addressed in an article? What problems would you like to see solved in an article?

At first glance this strategy can seem too simple to be effective. And yet it is quite powerful.

Would not it be great to have to look no further than your mirror to find your ideal niche?

I guess I could make it harder for you, but why?
